I'd like to be able to switch between decks, and from what I understand, this is done with MIDI Program Change....
    so......
Program Change = 0 is the first synth
    Program Change = 1 " " second synth
    etc?

curiously hoping to tap some communal knowledge here...

what sort of switch times am I looking at with synths of about 180 megs (16 files) + FX...

sorting out this whole DM2MIDI into Arkaos... working slickly so far... I want to be able to use the 4 numbered buttons on the bottom left to switch amongst synths...

    ..james...

all up and running now except for the bank/synth changes :)

ArKaos allows you to switch between Patchs from MIDI Program Changes. To switch Synth, you have to click in the Patch of the Synth you want to use.

you can use the program buttons on a midi keyboard to do this. Tip: use the lateste keyboard software, not the windows drivers.

    DM2MIDI

    I'm using a DM2 with pDoom's software....

...correction, I'd like to be able to switch "Patches" then....

    <digs out manual>
ahem... okay, so for posterity's sake:

    in Arkaos:
in Synth info: check the "Receive Program Change"
optionally check "Load Visuals on PGM change"

    in DM2MIDI:
    Select MIDI Program Change:
assign 0-127, corresponding with VJ patch

what I'm curious about, is: in Arkaos, how do you know which patch is 0 or which is 1;2;etc...

I'll see 'bout all this and report back... but it should work, DM2MIDI is such an awesome program.

Patch have are identified by their number in a Patch.

Don't forget: Synth is a file, Patch is a Virutal Keyboard in a Synth.

You can have 127 Patch in a KOS file.

I used it in the past, now I'm using both computer (keyboard & mouse) and MIDI controllers.
