    Hi everyone,

whilst we are in the process of confirming things over the next two weeks - a full and confirmed programme will be released at the start of March - given the requests here, we will keep things updated on this thread until the timetable for the event is complete ..

There will be a Trade Fair for VJs on the Friday, all day.

    Educational Sessions/Workshops:

Massive Hardware Feedback Experiment - Levlhed

After Effects - Dave Wigram (APT) - two sessions, One for beginners, one for advanced

    Human Visual Perception - Fluchtpunkt

Live Video Feedback - Fluchtpunkt (as given at CCC AVIT in Berlin in December)

    HDTV - 4YourEye

This is currently only a small proportion of educational sessions planned, but we are waiting to confirm other sessions, such as Narrative Lab, Skin, Touch, Feel (Future Physical) as well as "Just Starting" Sessions aimed at beginners, and Masterclasses aimed at experienced VJs.. as these get confirmed I will add them to the list here.

devonmiles Midi: the language of God

its "Fluchtpunkt". "Fluchpunkt" would mean something like "point where people meet to puts spells on each other". I guess tobias wouldnt be very pleased about that ... eveything else sounds great so far.:p

    ok we have now confirmed:

Masterclass: A/V Production by Mike Juxta (Ninja Tunes)

    Demo Scene talk by Rovastar

we wil be joined once again by Peter Rubin to talk about where VMP has got to, and where it is going - VMP was launched at AVIT UK 2003, and it is nice to have an update from the man who begun it.

Work In Progress - Brendan Byrne, informal meetings of small groups to talk about their works in progress, both from within and outside the VJ world.

Narrative Lab - a multi-session expansion from the Narrative Lab session at AVIT UK 2003, Narrative Lab now are an organisation looking to explore the use of narrative and compositional techniques within VJing, especially around ideas of non-linear narrative and parrallels with experimental film.

Be The Control - a 3 session course teaching about midi and hardware controllers, their construction and uses and creating an installation across 3 days.

Just Starting: Introduction to Music Theory for VJs - Me ;) - a session teaching the relevant parts of Grade 5 Music Theory. This is intended for people who have not studied music (unless you are an experienced music maker)

Mixing Music Videos - Sleepytom - a session looking at different ideas and techniques for mixing music videos

Just waiting to confirm a couple of flights and a timetable will be with you - there are going to be 2 educational sessions each day, one from 10am - 1pm; one from 2pm - 5pm
on the Tuesday and Thursday there is also one from 6pm-8pm..

of course, not all workshops will be 3 hours long - many are 2 or less, and some morning sessions will start at 11am, just to be sure that people know we have listened after the early starts last year :)

Mostly there are 2 or 3 sessions running at the same time - and all in completely seperated rooms. Hopefully this will lead to a better teaching and learning environment for everyone.

    :)
