Go here, join the compressionist mailing list and let som real pros answer your compression question if they feel like.

Gary, will you stop spamming the forums?!

Something tells me your "real pros" don't know shit about mixing 4 clips off a laptop with 3 Jitter or 6 FreeFrame fx piled on top.... Don't be such a pompous ass. Broadcast standards won't help most VJs.

Okay I'll rephrase as it is not spam.
    These people do in compression.

That' is everything from 240*120 displays to huge 20*40" foot screens.

And it is not just broadcast.
I did not even mention broadcast as you brought it up.

Point was encoding is something completely different.

You can find the forum on creativecow as well somewhere.
    YMMV

The part that is spam is that you posted the same link 3 times in three different threads in just a few minutes.
    FWIW
    :p

It ain't the size of the screen that makes you a "real pro". VJs work within the equipment they've got. Useful info is always appreciated, but value judgements based on inches are for crap.

Take it from a woman, size won't get you a second date.

I still think you are reading something else then what I posted.

OK 3 times in different thread might have been to much but I just looked in the archives at mediamotion and found so much info that could be handy. (point taken )
I've just found a lot of stuff there.

And on the second date you already know what size it is?
Where is the courtship, the romance the falling stars and the soft moon glow ;)

That's just a ploy to get me emotionally invested. I don't have time for all that! What if he turns out to be a lousy lay? I'd still hafta dump him. Better to know first, then let love grow.
    :D
